Talma (Mary Ann Ford)

Talma, born Mary Ann Ford, was a British magician who, with her husband Leon Bosco, formed the celebrated act 'Bosco and Talma' and later achieved international fame as a solo coin manipulator. Billed as 'The Queen of Coins,' she was one of the few women to headline as a technical virtuoso in the Golden Age of stage magic.

Her act centered on the multiplication, vanishing, and reappearance of coins, performed with a precision that drew the admiration of fellow professionals. Talma's career challenged the gender conventions of her era and established her as one of the period's most respected manipulators.
